Can any one suggest a good card reader? Is it okay to get any kind or do I need to get a specific kind?

I have a cheap CF card reader, if I am not mistaken, the brand is SIG, I got it from Fry's for $9.99 after mail-in rebate. So far it works fine. I just drag and drop the image files to my hard drive. Since I got the card reader I stopped using Zoombrowser to download pictures from camera.

Wow, that is a great price. So is it fast? Can it read more than one type of card? I see all those 4-1 & 6-1 readers, what do you think about those? Can you send me the link for your reader?

Yes, it is fast. It is just another drive, you open it, drag the image files and drop them to your target folder.

I got the siig too. I love not having to use zoombrowser!
It only reads CF cards (I and II) but that's all I have so that's ok.

I have a SanDisk CF card reader, it's 3+ years old and works great. The new SanDisk is a multi-card reader. I'v seen it for around 30 bucks.

I have the Sandisk 6 in 1 and really like it. It is USB 2.0 compliant so it is quick.

I got this Sandisk too (Imagemate 6 in 1): definitely recommended, editor's choice. By the editor of this reply, for what that is worth ;-)a
Very fast, I think about 4 to 5 times faster than USB1.1 . And do we really need that speed? Well, instant response and no waiting is so nice to work with... 700 jpgs large/superfine transferred in 5 minutes.
And over here it was actually cheaper than a lot of the old USB1.1 readers still available (at old prices!). I paid 40 euro's, a bit more than Mildot...
