Favorite lens on 40D

I just got a great deal on a 40 d. I looked for this question before I posted with no results. Look forward to your comments. So far I have only used my 70-200 f4 for girls lacrosse and i have loved the speed over my 5d.

Not sure what your question is. 10D is old and slow compared to a 40D.

Just wanted to know what lens people love using on there 40D. And yes the 40D is light years faster than my 10D and 5D for that matter.

The best lens you can afford on your favorite range I guess

The 40D is a great camera, most nice lens will shine, yes your 70-200 and your 85 will be great
The 24-105 is an amazing lens but might be a awkward range for some on a 40D

When I owned a 40D, the EF-S 17-55mm /f2.8 IS and 70-200mmL f/4 IS were my two most used lenses. They still are since upgrading to a 7D.

Its far too open a question to know what the favourite lens for the 40D is - its a good quality 1.6 crop camera body of the semi-pro range from canon. Favourite lenses are going to depend on so many inputs from the photographer - what - how - where - when they shoot as well as their budget

15-85mm is a nice fit for a crop body.

Tamron 17-50mm 2.8 on your 40D, that is one combination that works for me.
