In Fort Collins, there really are trains that like to drive down the middle of the street just like in Inception.

Good find. You should have some interesting possibilities for backgrounds there.

I have a picture I have been scoping out for the past few weeks but I missed it by maybe 30 seconds.

This is in Fort Collins, Colorado. The train tracks run through the campus at Colorado State and go through downtown. It is a one-way street and you can drive on either side of the tracks.

This would make for an interesting thread; photos of running trains down the middle of streets. I seem to recall that Amtrak Coast Starlight goes down the middle of a street in Oakland or near San Fransisco.

Nice shot, next time shoot from the sunlit side if you can ;)

Nice job getting the Warbonnet!

You're lucky you have access to street running as there's not too much of this left. There used to be a lot more of it but due to safety reasons the railroads have gone out of their way to remove a lot of the lines that ran down city streets.

Nice shots. The second is my favorite. It would be interesting to see the results if you did the same shoot at different times of the day with the sun in different positions...

Thanks guys! It is definitely fun hanging out near the tracks. I love trains. I went out today but got a bit different results than these ones.
