I currently have the Sigma 70-200 2.8 non OS and Im thinking of selling it and replacing it with the Canon 70-200 non IS. Now my question is will I see a big diffrence in the two lenses or would I be better off keeping the Sigma and sending my money on other things? I shoot alot of sports and I have read that the Canon AF motor is faster but by how much??
Thanks
BA

Personally, I don't think it's worthed. I don't know how both lenses compare but I'd say you'll see no different.

You will especially if you put a TC on them. The sig is not as good as the canon.

Since you shoot sports a lot why don't just take 135L and 1.4X TC.

Unless you need the weathersealing I wouldn't bother with that upgrade. Either spend the money on something else you want, or else save till you can afford at least a used 70-200 2.8 IS.

for sports the IS wont help you, so that is something I don't think you need. focusing speed is the same trust me, the canon might be a bit faster but nothing that you will notice.

Get something else that you need, this upgrade is a good one if you really want a white lens, other than that I don't think it's worth it.

The sig with the sig 1.4 tc gets pretty soft, no where as good as the canon with a 1.4 or even the 2x tc. So if you are considering a tc for you sport shooting, the canon is the better option with or without the IS.

Or a 200 2.8 would be simpler and w/o a TC, faster focus for sports.

Yes, it is, but you don't get the 135 f/2.0L.:D
Depends on the OP need, but for me yes your solution is the best, when using 70-200 I almost use 200mm all the time.

I would not upgrade.....unless you go to the 70-200 2.8 Mark2......far and away the best all around sports lens.Looking at your line up...I would toss the 28-135, 75-300 and your sigma 70-200 and put it to a 70-200 mark 2
