how to find all your posts in a thread

What is the best way to find your own posts in a particular thread.

I want to post an image in a thread I have been subscribed to for a while but want to make sure I haven't actually posted it before, how would I find out? I tried to search within the thread using "search this thread" using my user name but it didn't really work as I wanted. I just want to see all my posts in a given thread if it's possible.

Click on the thread you are subscribed to. Click on "Search This Thread" and use your screen name as the key word. That's the best way to do it. It will bring up each of you posts in that thread. You could also use Search -> Advanced Search -> Search using your user name. That's the other way, but your best bet would be the first. If you are not finding you name in a given thread using the search, chances are you didn't reply in that thread.

yep definitely posted in there many times, I'm trying not to repost old images I already have, which is why I'm trying to find only my actual posts within a thread.
The method I have used (same as your first method) shows up all sorts of posts, not just mine. Normally what pops up are if people quoted me or used my name in reference to a post, as you would expect. However, I was wondering if there was a specific username search method within a thread concentrating on the actual posts by username, meaning not quotes etc, just posts made by me in a particular thread.

and if that hasn't confused you nothing will!

In the 'Threads in Forum: ' page or in a search page with the names of the threads listed, click the number in the 'Replies' column.

In the 'Who Posted?' window that pops up, scroll down to your User Name (the list is ordered by the number of posts) click the number in the 'Posts' column and all your posts in that thread will appear.

If your User Name doesn't appear in the Who posted? list, you have no posts on that thread.

I have no idea what you are referring to, especially what I have highlighted in bold......sorry!

Choose a forum board - eg: Forum Talk.
This will give you see the list of threads. The "New Topic" button is at top left above the list.
Click on the light blue number in the "replies" column. It's the column next to the "views" column - the one on the far right of the page.
This will give you what rpolitsr was talking about.
