Our local wildlife rehab center came to our Marine Biology class with lots of Palagics. Along with some Palagic owls ;). Hope you enjoy.

Barred Owl--This guy was really ticked off and didn't like to be handled. He is a permanent resident at the rehab center with a fractured (but healed) shoulder. He can still fly but not enough to make it in the wild. They mistakenly placed him in the Common Murre inclosure until they could set up one for him. He took two of the murres off the water and ate them. Bet thats never happened before...ever.

Spotted Owl--This owl has been a permanent resident at the rehab center for about 6 years now (she is 23 years old). She was found in Southern Oregon by foresters with a elbow injury. She was on the ground with her mate bringing her food. Her mate would have kept feeding her until she died (Her mate paired up with another female a year later and is still currently with that female at the same sight).
