Alright so I'm not gunna make a big sphpeal out of this post, just some quick shots of what I grabbed.
I drove a couple hours yesterday to Ottawa with the GF with a mission to pick up a 28-70mm F2.8L which is the predecessor of the highly popular 24-70mm F2.8L. I looked through photo archives of this lens before making this decision and was more than confident that the 600$ I would save from buying a brand new 24-70 would be worth it.
I ended up finding another good deal while on Kijiji and also decided to check out a guys copy of the 70-200mm F4L non-IS while I was there. Ended up being happy with both and grabbed them!
Heres a quick pic of both lenses side by side, along with my 5D and 20-35L mounted on that.
New Glass!

Heres a sample shot from the 28-70 at F2.8, minimal editing needed. This lens is sharp!

28-70mm F2.8L Sample Shot
Heres a shot I took when I was trying out the lens while buying it, the detail in the chair is quite stellar.

28-70mm F2.8L Test Shot
Here is a random shot I took while trying out the 70-200mm F4L. This shot is STRAIGHT from the camera, the only PP was the resize for web. The contrast and sharpness of this lens is awesome, I'm very excited to use it more.

Straight from my 5D 70-200mm Sample Shot.
All in all it was a successful trip, and a good time as usual with the GF and meeting up with my homie Neil in Kanata. When I got home to Kingston I picked up a B+W (0) uv Haze filters for both pieces, as I do with all my lenses.
I'll post more pictures as I use the glass more.
