I'm wondering where I can find a good selection of lenses to see in person. I realize most of us buy online, but I sure wish I could go into a shop and try different lenses.

Going to Canon's website only shows a ton of walmarts and such that sell canon gear.

It's easy to find bodies in town....but what about lenses?

Thank you. bw!

Camera Stores in Atlanta

I don't know of any camera stores locally that can compete with online stores regarding price, but here is my 2 cents:

Showcase Camera and Photo - Good selection, knowledgeable staff

Wing's Camera - New and Used equipment, great and helpful staff

KEH is in Atlanta, but I've never been to their physical location, not sure if they are set up for walk-up shopping or not. I would like to hear from anyone that has visited their store though if it is.

Showcase is in Atlanta. Their prices are a little high but it is local and sometime you need something soon.

Keh is in Atlanta, once I bought a camera and lens, they allow me to pick them up at the store, but they intend, mostly, to deliver by mail.

These seem to be the best in Atlanta and I have bought from all 3. Got a great deal on a 40D hardly used last week from Wings. Showcase's folks know their stuff.
