This new R3000 has very good prerelease reviews, I just wonder if you've had experience with Epsons at this level.
I have an Epson R1900 which I absolutely love. It's a couple years old, and not quite at the level of the R3000, but close. My R1900 will make prints that you could swear came from a photo lab... they will blow your mind. The R3000 are going to be better than those!
I like to make prints, frame them, and give them as gifts. I also printed several of my shots from the American Southwest on the 13x17 paper, framed them, and hung them on the wall. You won't be disappointed with any of the better Epson photo inkjet printers. One caution, the ink tanks can get a bit spendy if you do a lot of printing. I think the R3000 uses ink tanks that cost about $30 each, and you need 9 of them.
My R1900 uses tanks that cost about $12 each. Just something to consider....
