I have a t2i as of now which I'm currently happy with, but I shoot more sports, birds, etc.
Should i buy the 7d or 5d mark ii or wait for 7d ii or 5d mark iii. I got about $2500 to spend..also I got a good sigma f2.8 70-200 is glass & a nifty fifty so far. Please advise?

P.S. I can pickup a used 7d from a local seller for about $1,300 & maybe buy a walking lens like a 24-105 i hear is great?

Nothing wrong with a T2i. It's a fairly new body and I doubt a 5D or 5DII would focus any better in a sports/willife scenario. I also would add and upgreade glass first.

I´d say the EF 24-70mm f/2.8 L USM
It would fit nicly in to your future full frame plans

Yeah, if you need to buy something ;) or just couldn't resist to waste those money, buy some glass.
T2i is a fine camera.

Wouldn't a 17-40 L lens work better with a crop body?

Not better, but more appropriate. And if the OP is going to full frame later it hink 24-70 would fit the FL more.

On a crop body there won´t be any problems.
But this lens apparently has some serious vignetting issues on a full frame body

for me that´s enough to go for the ef 24-70 L

I'm in the same boat as you are, but my t2i does everything I need it to do so I'll be waiting for to see what canon has to new to offer. Then I'll get a new body when needed, but until then I'll just add some L glass to what I already have.
