I need some help deciding between 2 scenarios. I currently just shoot family and friends and would like to eventually get into wedding photography being a second photographer for a friend.

I currently own 24-70L, 35L, 135L, 70-200 f4L IS, 430EX and have some cash.

1. I sell my 70-200 f4L IS. Use that and my cash to get a 70-200L II and 580EX2.

Pro - I get a wicked lens and one that I can use at weddings.
Con - I would only use the 70-200L II occasionally. I would've liked an 85 to shoot as I can see myself using this more often.

2. I use my cash and purchase a Sigma 85 and 580EX2.

Pro - It's a lot cheaper option.
Con - Longest I would have is a 200 f4 which I don't think will be fast enough for indoors; have to find a good Sigma copy.

What would any of you do?

I would consider selling the 70-200 f4 IS and 135 f2 and get the 70-200 MK II. I tried 2 copies of the Sigma 85 and both had to be returned for AF issues.

The Sigma issues concern me the most. I live in Canada and purchasing from the US is a way better deal. Dealing with a bad copy could be annoying.

And I don't think I want to be selling the 135L. I just had it out and the IQ is top notch. And it's much more discreet at the park with my kid than a 70-200 II.

After talking with a couple of buddies, I think I'm doing opt 1 if I can sell it off soon.
