I was on the fence about an iPad2, I currently have an iPhone 4 that I use a lot, but I'm not sure about the iPad 2.

This totally pushed me over the fence so hard I smashed my nose.

It looks a little unpolished, but control Lightroom Development controls via your iPad on WiFi!!

I was going to get a midi controller some day to do this, but this is freaking awesome!

First off, you can full screen the image without any interface in your way, and control sliders. I'm guessing sensitivity is more sensitive than moving a mouse around. Much more is available and in a bigger area than the current bars. You can also work much faster and more precisely. Even with a 5200 DPI $130 gaming mouse, using the mouse with the sliders is choppy.

I wanted to do just this with a midi controller, but this looks awesome. There is some latency I am hearing though, and I'll wait for it to be worked out before I probably could use it permanently but it does look very helpful.

Yeah, but think of product or child/pet photography. It's pretty kick ass to be able to alter props/people while altering settings - without having to go back to the camera/computer each time.

I've used a similar setup with DSLRemote on my iPhone. It's not for everyone, or for everything, but in certain cases, it's awesome.

Since someone mentioned this, I'd like to see this how much latency there is when using this app.

There is some latency, they said it is due to the LR API, but the next version they are working on trying to remove it.

Kinda cool, but your whole point about it being more accurate doesn't matter if it takes 5 seconds to show you what you've done. You can always use the arrow keys on your keyboard if you need more accuracy?

I have two iPad's and for LR3 adjustments, I'll stick with my shortcut keys and my wacom.
Between shortcut keys, the wacom and a 7 button mouse I don't need another adjustment array.

If your mouse has choppy movement, it is likely because of its polling rate and drivers, or it simply being set up wrong. That said, I have no choppiness when adjusting sliders in lightroom, even with the slight amount of jitter my mouse does have. You do know you can drag on the numbers and it moves a bit more precisely?

On the app store people are saying this app adds "LRPAD" as a tag in all their photos meta data. That is a big no no to me, so this app gets marks as spam in my mind till that is removed. And even then, I already dont trust this developer. Cool idea, but I dont like the design of the app, or the consequences of using it.

My polling rate is 1000Hz, which is the best around. I just ordered the top of the line Steelseries mouse to replace this anyway as I was getting a new keyboard and wanted the best of the best. I am not quite sure if it jumps or is something else, it just doesn't seem smooth. I go real slow and nothing is moving, then all of a sudden it jumps up. Think it is more lightroom than anything else.

If there is no option to turn off that tagging then I agree that is messed up. It shouldn't have done that without asking anyway.
