Something completely different for me as I've never really done any macro shooting before, I'm usually a landscape and portrait shooter, but really enjoyed shooting close ups on a grey day.

It does look a tad overexposed, but i love it either way. Very nice colors and composition. Beautiful!

Cheers for the comment Ingardj. It wasn't over exposed in Lightroom, but I've just rechecked the above photo in Photoshop and it is slightly over exposed! Hmmm...only thing I can think of is that Flickr has messed up the colour space whilst importing.

Cheers

good framing and composition, has a nice feel to it. I always have the problem of capturing white flowers because if they are exposed normally, the background tends not to pop as much. I think the picture in itself is very well taken

Yes, the picture is well taken!

You do probably know this, but when shooting like this i find that i can do very much with the RAW file. It can be underexposed a lot, but a little tweaking can make it light and look well exposed. So maybe the solution is to take the picture slightly underexposed?

Either way, its a great shot that i bet will look awesome printed.

Thanks for the comments.

I exposed for the whites and then tweaked the RAW in Lightroom.

Cheers
