This is my stealth bag. I could probably pack it better if I took the flash out of its case.

It weights 14.8 pounds, so it's not light. However I really only use it like this for the plane ride when I travel. Once I get to where I am going, I leave some of the gear in the room (and if course, the camera when I am walking is on my hip, and not in the bag.

I didn't take a picture of it, but it does have straps on the botom, that will hold a tripod (however that removes the whole stealthy thing). Oh, and sorry for the really poor photos. I should have done better, but it's late.

So far this is working well for me, only problem is my camera is gripped and I can't keep a lens on it when storing in the bag. :(

Thanks to this (external link) youtube video (I found it on one of the earlier pages of this thread after doing plenty of research) I just purchased the following items:

So I'm looking at possibly getting the GT heavyweight bag (because of the zipper) w/ the Camera Paddy in the post above for a new bag. I'm trying to get some feedback from the people that have it, to get an idea of it's size. I have the following equipment and would like to know if you guys think it would fit well, or if the bag would be too big/small:

  • T1i (no grip)
  • kit lens
  • "kit" 55-250mm lens
  • 50mm II
  • Sigma 10-20mm
  • A couple filters, filter holder
  • a few misc items: extra battery, charger, etc.
What do you guys think?

THIS is what can fit in the bag (and actually I now use a 60D and a sigma 70-200 f2.8)

thanks for the response. I was looking at your post last night, but couldn't tell if that was the same bag or not. That's a lot of gear! If you can fit all of that stuff in, all of mine will definitely be able to. It almost makes me wonder if the bag would be too big for my needs. Though I guess given the unstructured nature of a canvas messenger bag, it'd probably just contour more easily to fit however it was hanging.

My bag is technically the Rapid Dominance bag. The GT and RapDom are the same bag though, just with different names.

With less gear the bag just becomes smaller. Really mine is pretty much filled to the brim. With less gear its smaller, lighter, and much nicer to carry :)

Love this thread,

Going the Rapid Dominance route, that's due to show up Monday

I also purchased a Domke shoulder strap and finally a

BBP DSLR Camera Insert, Make Your Own Camera Bag - Orange
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0047P0QLC (external link)

The reason for this post is that I never saw a pic of how the insert worked. I think that would have helped me with my decision and I thought I'd help the next guy ;)

The velcro attachments can be put wherever you wish. The bottom isn't as padded as I'd hoped, but I'm thinking of attaching one of the velcro pads as an extra bottom piece for the camera/lens compartment area.

Also, the top flap small web compartments aren't zippered, so, not sure what small items I'd put in there if they are susceptible to falling out.

Anyway, can't wait for the bag to put it all together. Hope the picture helps someone

I have my body cap in the big one and some CF cards in the others. Fits snug enough that they don't fall out for me

The only thing I don't like about bbp inserts are the dividers don't holds it's shape. Are there any dividers that are more durable?

Try these

They are ridgid and fully customizable.

Can anyone who is currently using the GT or Rapid Dominance Bag take a picture with a ruler next to the bag for me? I'm trying to figure out how wide and tall this bag is in real life.

I made an insert 35x15x20cm (lxwxh) and that is max that you can squeeze in. Hope this helps.

Thanks, looks good but it's too expensive.
