Thanks folks...I do love to go these functions with the Downs kids...they enjoy life so much...They aren't encumbered with so many hang ups some of the rest of us deal with...I always take the camera...These kids make you see life in a different light...by thier actions, which give plenty to shoot at!! My avatar was shot by one of my little buddies at a walk a year ago...he was facinated by taking photos and I spent an hour or so showing him how it all worked and the avatar photo was the end product...he was thrilled and so was I...:)

PEACHMAN, its nice to hear someone else talk like that. I'm a special ed. teacher and a photographer on the weekends. I know exactly what you mean. One of my 6th graders with Downs is moving to the Jr. High next year and its going to be completely different without her next year. She's hilarious. They always teach me what the truly important things in life are, while I'm teaching them math & reading. I have some outstanding images of some of my kids with Downs too, but I won't post them w/out specific parent permissions, even though I have a blanket permission signed at the start of the year. ...I don't think posting here counts as "educational benefit."

I think she is beautiful, too. I have a special place in my heart for Down's kids. In fact, had to delay the cutting of the cake at my wedding until a speical downs kid could get his hug. Great shot, too.

Great picture, and yes, she's a cutie.
I dont think I would even have known she had Downs if you didn't mention it.
