Not one of the beautiful people? Sorry, but that comment just doesn't match the picture you posted.

Peachman, awesome capture. Yes, she is beautiful. I also like the way the water looks like it's coming straight towards me.

Thanks Art, I wasn't sure if the water thing showed that way...It was actually shooting about 4 feet in my direction...that was her fascination with the whole process..:D

That's an amazing capture. What I can seem to grasp though is if you shot at 2.8, and the girl is the focusing point, how did you get all of her to be sharp AND the fountain to still remain somewhat sharp as well. When I try and shoot at 2.8 on my 28-75, I always get part of the subject in focus (say the shoulder, or bottom part of hair), the rest is slightly blurry and objects near by are pretty blurry too.

Excellent capture of a lovely little girl. The intensity of concentration in her face is priceless.

Captured the moment nicely! Sweet child playing with a very innocent look (which might well mean she is guilty of something :) thats the general rule for my 2 1/2 year old).

good capture!

Thanks ...I shot this one at Av6.3 and a little faster than I usually shoot at 1/400 of a sec...It's a new lens to me and this was my first outing with is..I've been having some difficulty with DoF and got lucky with this one I guess ??

The f2.8 is a very shallow depth of field, especially when shooting at the extreme reach of your lens...I don't have that particular lens so I can't comment on it's function...go to the lens topics on this forum and post this question and you will probably be overwelmed with help by those better equipped than I ....... Basically, if you are letting in a lot of light then shutter speed needs to speed up...I'm not sure how ISO will help that (depth of field)...I know if you speed up the shutter over what it calls for at that Av, then iso will have to be a tad higher (faster )...

Thank you all for viewing and your warm and more than kind comments...They call these kids "special" for a lot more reasons than kindness or political correctness...

Beautiful girl! Love the way you captured her expression. It would be cool to see this at 1/125 or 1/60. But without speed braketing it would be hard. These things happen in a split second.

I was actually filming some other action and saw this out of the corner of my eye and didn't have time to change settings...I would probably have increased the shutter speed to really stop the water, but I think your suggestion is better...the blured motion would have brought it alive...good idea, thanks!
