Art Thanks Art, I wasn't sure if the water thing showed that way...It was actually shooting about 4 feet in my direction...that was her fascination with the whole process.. The "eyes" have it !

What I can seem to grasp though is if you shot at 2.8, and the girl is the focusing point, how did you get all of her to be sharp AND the fountain to still remain somewhat sharp as well. When I try and shoot at 2.8 on my 28-75, I always get part of the subject in focus (say the shoulder, or bottom part of hair), the rest is slightly blurry and objects near by are pretty blurry too. The f2.8 is a very shallow depth of field, especially when shooting at the extreme reach of your lens...I don't have that particular lens so I can't comment on it's function...go to the lens topics on this forum and post this question and you will probably be overwelmed with help by those better equipped than I ....... Basically, if you are letting in a lot of light then shutter speed needs to speed up...I'm not sure how ISO will help that (depth of field)...I know if you speed up the shutter over what it calls for at that Av, then iso will have to be a tad higher (faster )... Love the way you captured her expression. It would be cool to see this at 1/125 or 1/60. But without speed braketing it would be hard. These things happen in a split second. 5D | 17-40L | Tammy 28-75 2.8 | 28-135 | 50/1.8 | 85/1.8 | Sony A6000 2-Lens Kit | SEL35 1.8 | EF 50 1.8 on NEX as my 75mm 1.8

I was actually filming some other action and saw this out of the corner of my eye and didn't have time to change settings...I would probably have increased the shutter speed to really stop the water, but I think your suggestion is better...the blured motion would have brought it alive...good idea, thanks!
