:o:o:o:oThanks:o:o:o:o:o But I've seen your work! The water falls was mesmerizing..and others...

I don't do anything special, just try to capture kids while they play and interact...I'm not interested in trying to get them to sit still and look at the camera...and I've got pleanty of time to shoot while I'm watching my grandson... Come on down to one od the Buddy walks and we can film together !!

Great photo. Regarding the title, I think there is no need for "not one of the beautiful people", we already see that she is adorable. ;)

Well done man. :D

I had a problem with that also, and expressed it earlier. I don't know how many people caught that, but it certainly confused me. Great picture, but perhaps deserving of a better title.

You are welcome to your opinion on that:). I thought long about it before posting...A little tongue in cheek John...people are always posting the warnings of caution...so many folks want to post only perfect , symmetricall people and the lovely model types...who I also enjoy seeing...I just go for a different style and find infinite beauty in the eyes, movements and persona of the every day activities of children as well as those less fortunate... Remember, I have a Downs child and I know thier inner beauty and how it shines thru...I also witness on a daily basis disdain for him by those not fortunate enough to know him....sorry if I offended you, just some tongue and cheek....my mouth does get me in some messes at times:o As far as abetter title...I let the photos speak..if I were a word smith I would be writing novels , not shooting photos...

PEACHMAN,
I guess if anyone is entitled to name it, you certainly are. I was simply stating that when I read that at first, I was quite shocked at what a lovely picture it turned out to be.

Lots of folks here are very strict about wanting titles to match. Yours didn't, and I appreciate the explaination as to why.

You didn't offend me, and I apologize if I made more out of this than was necessary.

I think you captured beauty that we seldom get to see here, and I love it. I think you can tell by the responses that a lot of people ignored your caution, and probably viewed this shot not just once, but several times. I know I did. I hope the many good comments will encourage you to share more.

We all have our own opinions of beauty. That shot melted my heart, and that is what you should have warned us all of before we looked . . . . ;)

Don't stop doing what you do.

Actually, "One of the most beautiful people" would have been a more appropriate title. You did her justice with an awesome shot. Love it!

John, thank you so much for replying in such a thoughtful and kind way. I was about to lose some sleep tonight with the thought that I might have offended people on this wonderful forum. I know I come on strong, some times too strong, with words and I need folks like you to rein me in occasionally....I'm not sure you could know how much all of your kind words encourage me....Thanks again for your thoughts and candor.:)

PS..As long as there are kids I'll be posting photos here....

I've been watching this thread for the last day or so and I have to say how encouraged I am by it. My son was born in Feb with Down Syndrome and one of my wife's worst fears is that people will not treat him as he should be treated as he gets older. It's such a breath of fresh air to see all the encouragement and positive comments on this forum. I showed her this thread and it brought her hope. So I'd like to say thanks to everyone for all the positive comments and encouragement, it made someones day.

Peachman, thanks for sharing such a great photo on such a wonderful subject. You really captured the essence of a wonderful child.

Thanks for the comments on the photo.

As for fears that he won't be treated well ?? The dark ages are past...education and school policies have changed the mindset on all disabilities in kids...Every child in the school wants to help Myles or be his buddy...you know by High School there are going to be some bullies, but they will be there for anyone they can focus on......I have a lot to talk to you about...I have sent you a private message with my contact info....PLEASE CALL ! And congradulations on your " Blessing ":)
