I just got my 5D classic today, just less than 4000 shots on her.

From the few test shots I've take around the house I know I am going to love it.

Seems so much better to handle than my 7D and from what I can tell so far is the images are much better. Also seems to perform better in lower light.

I'm one happy bunny. :)

Nice! I'm seriously considering the 5D classic myself. If you don't mind me asking, what did you pay for it?

The images will be sharper out of camera due to the weaker older AA filter. Low ISO will indeed be better, but once you get near 1600 towards 3200, the two come together in noise quality, and the 7D just goes up from there. The two definitely make for complementary bodies!

How does the 5D seem to do better in lower light?

I have both, but that seems to be a silly statement. The 5D is superior in noise at lower ISO, but come ISO 1600 they match up pretty well. At 3200 the 7D seems to be superior, and 5D can not do 6400 or 12,800.

So technically, the 7D is better :D

Yeah may have been a stupid comment in post hate but not had a chance to try it out properly yet.

Can't wait to get out at the weekend with it, seems to work well with my current lens collection so far.

I have heard comments that the lcd is not to hot but I think it seems ok.

The LCD is terrible, for sure. It is good enough to see the histogram, and that is about it. Colors, sharpness, etc... Hard to tell from the LCD.

But the images that camera produce are awesome! I got mine a few weeks back and really enjoy it.

I´ve been thinking about a 5Dc just for my 85mm to have something to hang on to, and to get those gorgeous images FF can give you in good light.

P.S isn´t a new keyboard wonderfull when you "read" what i type ;)

Okay, we will just start calling it the 5D Sr., and the 5D2 as 5D Jr... ;)
