Angus, I just had time to review all the images ... that girl does have pale skin! The pictures are very good, particularly those of her. It looks like the spotlighting really overrode all the rest of the stage lighting. The spots at the casino are 150' or so away so I sometimes have the opposite problem. I liked the audience at the rail shot, too.
I shot ZZ Top last night. First two songs only, but the songs go on and on. The manager came down to actually talk to me ... while this is the only group for which I have ever had to sign an agreement, she was amazingly nice. Most of these people say, "Don't get between the talent and the audience, AT ALL, NO EXCEPTIONS!!!!" among all their other bizarre demands, this gal said, "Get right up to the stage and don't worry about the audience." The first song was so long I thought it might have been two, so I looked at her and held up one finger and she nodded and pointed up at the stage to suggest 'keep shooting'. I know other venues where the photographers have the run of the front for two or three songs and then must evaporate so I have never figured out why many that come to the casino seem to think it is important that the photographers not be visible, sigh. However, I am not a ZZ Top fan so I left halfway through the show while the bikers were still raging about some mind bending tune that they liked ... I am picking up -25dB sound cancelling, fitted ear plugs this afternoon ... my ears are still ringing.
