In Penang...

A group of us photography enthusiasts are in Penang (Malaysia) at the moment and are looking for deals, any suggestions.
Group kit list:
60D/7D body
550D/600D Body (600D landed today)
100-400mm stabilised or similar non Canon lens.

fellow malaysian here, but currently in states, so I'm not sure where you can get the best deals. I'll PM you with something else that might help.

Most of more dedicated photographic stores are around the Penang road area and at the 1st level of Komtar also inside Prangin mall which is nearby on the other side of Komtar.

Good prices if you bargain with them or get them to throw in extra's like genuine batteries etc.,
Canon stock is sometimes an issue as less is brought in by Canon Malaysia.

Remember you need to factor in the warranty issue, with the DSLR bodies only warranted in the country of purchase, while lenses have an 1 yr international warranty.

Also get all the warranty cards filled out correctly with shop stamps etc. and don't forget the itemised invoice and credit card receipt for proof of purchase.
