Ok, this is a first for me, but maybe the norm for some of you. Anyway, I go to a family's house to go through a session I did with them. The wife wanted me to hook into their 60"+ high-dollar TV. Ok, no problem. I have the proper cable with me. The husband walks in and says, "Don't you dare hook into the TV." Ok, I thought he was going to kick my butt because I was about to touch his precious TV. He looks at me and says, "Bring your stuff with me."
"Ok," I thought.....sheepishly. He takes me downstairs to their theater room. He kicks back with his favorite cold "beverage" and says, "Let me have it." I plug my laptop into the HDMI port on the little plate on the wall. "OHHHH, ok, he has a projector. Great, this is going to look like crap," I thought. Holy crap. When all was said and done, I was going to buy prints. Apparently, he has a top of the line HD projector. I was blown away. Sure, I've run photos through a projector before, but never anything like this. I was overly impressed with the quality of the projector. He sips his "beverage" and says, "See, that's better than the TV would do." Fortunately, mom, dad, kids, grandma, grandpa and some aunts and uncles were all in attendance for the "showing." I never would have gotten a sale like I did if it wasn't for such an elaborate set-up.
