Floor color to match the wall color?

I was reading the 1013mm blog and I saw a "Before and After" post where he changed the color of the floor and roof to match the wall in the back. The post can be seen here.

Does anyone have an idea on how this is done? Obviously I'm not too experienced with Photoshop and it's killing me trying to figure out what he does.

You can do this by making different layers for each and playing with the tint. If you hit CTRL+U you can adjust the hue/saturation. Changing the hue will alter the color, and then you play with the saturation and brightness till you get what you want. That's the first thing I can think about off the top of my head.

Looks to me like a slight hue and fairly desaturated.
