What do you use for a portable power source?
I will be purchasing an AlienBees B800 Flash Unit very soon and am wondering what I should use to power it when there are no outlets available.

Those are on back order. Any other similar options?

There are DIY options but they end up costing about the same for little improvement in performance. I saw those as they are the only ones listed on the site, but they are on backorder. I really need to get this power source soon, but I do not want to take a hit in performance/quality...if I have to wait, I have to wait. Gear

Many people don't buy it because it is more expensive than a Vagabond II, it doesn't come with the bag, and the shipping from the Philippines is $45. Robert

The UPS I got was 100$. It is cheaper and more power BUT the weight is the trade off. Don't try to confuse me with the facts, my mind is already made up.

Some actually have a pure sine wave inverter in them. You just have to do your research first. I'm off lining my cage with newspaper.

It was about $430 shipped with the carrying back, but after using the Tronix and the Vagabond II, I purchased the Tronix. It's sturdier and the bag isn't required to hold it together. I'm using mine with a 1200w/s Spoodotron pack and a 400w/s Speedotron pack. My village called. I was told that they missed me.
