WOW. How fortunate you have been to have such a wonderful opportunity to take so many fantastic images of these birds. Thanks for posting the link to the gallery. Those are some outstanding images. Very well done.

That's sad to hear. A very nice tribute you have there. Hopefully there will be many good years ahead for the new couple.

Just finished viewing Mr. B's gallery. What a gorgeous tribute.
I am looking forward to seeing how the new guy does with Missy!

Kenn, I'm sorry to hear about Mr. B. I know you and Temple adore your Bluebird family a lot and they give y’all endless enjoyment. We can understand your loss. Eight years ago we started hosting Bluebirds but several years ago we lost our female Bluebird and It just hasn’t been the same since her disappearance. It's hard knowing that he won't be back. Keep taking photos of your Bluebird family and share them with us.

Also well done on the gallery you have made in Mr. B's honor.

I'm really sorry to hear this Kenn as I know how much you folks love your birds. You have also been kind enough to share them with us so we will undoubtedly miss him as well.

Now you must enjoy his surviving family.

So sorry Kenn. Mr.B sure had a productive and happy life. I really enjoyed your photo tribute and especially liked the shots of him with his young and Missy. I can only imagine the void left since I get very attached to certain birds over just a couple of months in the rookery each spring, having Mr. B missing from your yard must be far worse. Thank you for sharing your photos of him with us, they captured his beauty and character and I know you'll treasure them for many years to come. Well wishes to all your backyard friends.

Kenn, I'm back because I have now had an opportunity to have a look through the wonderful gallery you have created in Mr. B's honor. It's absolutely fantastic. Thank you so much for sharing him with us.

49! If I had a uterus it would be hurting with the thought.

However, the sad news is a shame. 49 is truly and awesome number. And, the fact you got to chronicle so much of it makes me think you gave him as much as he gave you. You likely kept him very healthy.

How sad! He was a beautiful little bird and I know you'll miss him. Am glad the female has found a new mate. She probably didn't take to him right away because she was hoping Mr. B would eventually return.

I'd be willing to bet that one of his offspring will show up this year for adoption so you can start all over again.
