Just received the BG E4 purchased on this site used for my 5Dc, not instruction manual but I have it installed and seems to be working. Are there any special instructions that I need to be aware of or does anyone have a instruction sheet they can scan and post?

Not much to battery grips really... Just remove the battery door from the camera, store it in the battery door holder in the battery grip "stem", make sure the ON/OFF switch on the battery grip is switched to ON, then shoot away using the buttons on the battery grip as you would the matching buttons on the camera body.

The other thing is don't tighten it up too much as you can strip the gears in the screw mounting mechanism, making the grip difficult to remove.

Oh yea! Thats another! No need to tighten that mount screw down ridiculously tight, it wont fall off. Some body/grip combos over the years I know of get so tight or caught or jammed or something if theyve been over tightened it becomes VERY hard to get them off. So much so that I have seen the internal gearing in the grip broken as a result.

Thanks ALOT!

These little things do so much for you, or atleast for me, hehe :) I love to know all these little things!

I didn't even know this!
The funny thing is, when i first got the battery grip, the first thing i thought after i removed the battery door, was that i wanted a good place to store the door so i wouldn't loose it. And i was thinking to myself that there should be storage space on the grip for it, but i couldn't see any place to fit it.

And there it is, right infront of you, that place where you can store the door.
Feels so much better now to know that it will always be in there!
