I have taken my Avebger A700 on location because it does the job, I hang a BX400 and a Mola Demi off of it and it's just right, not overdone at all. It's cumbersome and weighs around 35 pounds but is the best piece of grip gear I own. Otherwise I work the same light setup onma Avenger A635B tilted all the way down and sometimes off of a heavy duty angle bracket to get more of a downward tilt and move that light in really close, often with my lens snug up against the stand. On location if you can do it this way it sure saves time. But I love that boom.

I've also hung a BX400 and an Elinchrom 53"Mid Octabox over a tabletop setup and food shoot, pretty amazing but even with that, you are aware of how much Weight is hanging out there. I have the back extension out as far as the front and with sand bags hanging on it so that it balances perfectly. No way would I do that with anything smaller.

I was inside my studio using it. Air cushioned would be nice, given the weight of the boom and light together. Oh well, I still love it!!! I had my 53" octabox on it with a 500 Bxri

Looks like the Manfrotto 085bs is heavier than the Avenger A4050CS Junior Boom Stand( A700) which I already have 36.1 lbs vs 33 lbs.
Somestime it is just me and client shooting and that thing is a beast!

it's a beast for sure. Normal urban terrain would be ok, but not anything off the beaten concrete!
