I am busy moving backwards and forwards between Brisbane and Toowoomba at present.

Here is one of Brisbane (taken with an Olympus XZ2 which sort of "lives" in my pocket):

Thank you Griffljq and Ispeqtor!
Sunny days in winter are very calm and quiet in Kavala
Here's the old town
the byzantine castle on top and the long pink building with the domes is the ottoman Imaret (an establishment for the poor people of the city donated by Mohamed Ali ruler of Egypt, who was born here) now operating as a high luxury hotel.

Ladd Observatory was designed by the Providence-based firm of Stone, Carpenter & Willson. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2000.

H. P. Lovecraft had free access to the observatory for several years and wrote astronomy articles for Providence newspapers based upon his study there between 1906 and 1918

Interesting to see another structure build for the Worlds Fair. I see the Space Needle every day so it's nice to see something else built for the same purpose!

Albert Dock Liverpool

Holds a special place in my heart as my father and paternal grandfather used to take me here when it was a derelict site and tell me stories of the great days of the port of Liverpool. Then right of centre there is a small striped building my maternal grandfather worked in that building Pacific Steam Navigation Co for 38 years so a special place for me!

Cheers JM

Yes happy childhood memories the whole site became derelict when the port of Liverpool trade died as that part of the River Mersey is not deep enough for the huge container vessels of today. They actually thought of demolition of the dock buildings built in the Victorian period but the walls are so thick they decided to refurbish them and the area is now one of Englands biggest tourist attractions with Museums, Gallery's and shopping and luxury apartments. If you turn 180o around from my picture above this is the rest of the Dock immediately behind you.
