Bad Santa joke of the day! And don't know if its been told here before, but ohh well, here goes!

What's the difference between Santa and Tiger Woods?

Santa stops at three hoes!

LOL!!!

There's already a "political" cartoon of Tiger on Santa's knee with Santa going "HO HO HO" and Tiger going "WHERE? WHERE? WHERE?"

Gee I feel for poor Tiger, well not really I am tired of hearing about his little "indiscretions, affairs or whatever they are calling them at the moment. Just why is this newsworthy? And why do so many otherwise intelligent (or not so intelligent) people just hang on every word of it?

As a life-long golf fan, this kind of tabloidism just isn't something that normally comes out Golf (with John Daly being the notable exception. But, ol' JD isn't even in the same solar system as Tiger.)

It's also one of the biggest "How The Mighty Have Fallen" stories in quite a while. It's also mentioned on Sports Center five times an hour.

Jay; I know that these things normally are not associated with Golf, and that is possibly part of the fascination, what I want to know is why is it so fascinating to others? What is the big fascination about the intimate details of the famous? Is it just me, or should I be voyeuristic? Why do I think that I am missing the punchline here?

I really don't know why people get so interested.

I don't think it's a particularly new thing. I'm sure the peasants have always wondered what the king/queen were up to.

The Tiger story probably seems more saturated because it crosses over from Tabloids to Sports (or vice versa) so we get it in places that we normally wouldn't. Lindsay Lohan doesn't usually make Sports Center and Tiger doesn't normally end up on Oprah or Us Weekly.

It also extends to the business world. This "cat" made what? $300 million a year in endorsements? That's a lot of clams and that will make Wall Street shudder a little as well.

And (although it pains me to say it) there's probably the race thing too...

Part of the appeal is that Tiger, a golfer, has had more women than the average NBA star, and boy are they mad!

And, apperently, there is an alternative "PGA" out there on tour which stands for Professional Groupies Association.

Seems professional golf has more camp followers than Sherman had marching to the sea.

Speaking of John Daily, a couple of years ago he was on the Stern Show discussing his alcoholism, with a beer in hand a 7am. That guy is my hero.

Oh yeah I forgot about that, his studio is non-smoking except for Daily. He did smoke during the interview too.

I'd bet John probably doesn't do anything without a smoke in his hand...

Interesting (and kind of eye opening) article on the "Cost" of Golf without Tiger:

Did you hear that Rudolf got fired? Santa replaced him with a state of the art GPS.
