You've given this a very stark and graphic look.

Pushing the chroma this hard though has introduced quite a bit of noise. I think you'd still have a nice silhouette without making the sky look like the Van Allen belt in Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea.

There was quite a bit of noise before i messed around with it. The only problem i can see here is the sky and the nose. the motion blur has made it very soft or at least for me anyway.

ill mess around with it later and see if i can reduce the noise more :)

thanks Desertraptor :)

If you don't have NR software, adding a little bit of gaussian blur just to the sky would help smooth out the noise. The easiest way I know to do that would be to select the F-18 first & then invert that selection before you do the gaussian blur.

If you do a google search for "Neat Image" they have some pretty good noise reduction software for free. The free version only will do an area of 1024 x 1024 however. It also has a PS plug in. I use it occasionally. I haven't figured out a way yet to so selective noise reduction tho. Otherwise, I think it does a good job on it's own for free.

Nice shot
