It's engraved with the Navy emblem plus the date he was sworn in and the date he graduated Boot Camp. The front of the magwell has "H C C" which stands for Honor, Courage, Commitment along with the Boatswain's Mate emblem which he started off as along with CVN-74 which is the John C. Stennis Aircraft Carrier he is assigned to. The serial number is his initials and birthdate.
