Very nice reloading setup Chief! A Dillon press would be the one I'd get if I ever got into reloading.

It's not a naff as naff is a pronoun (If I remember my grammar correctly). Naff is basically something that is not of the best quality. It's often used to describe cheap copies of quality items, or even fakes. A woman might have her fake Louie Vuitton handbag described as naff. When used to describe other peoples property it is borderline insulting, unless you know them well enough to get away with that sort of thing. So I have cheap naff reloading kit, and to be honest my Fulton of Bisley converted Mauser K98 target rifle, that is now running in F-TR guise with Opti-Mate 20×44 scope is not much better. My two Anschutz match rifles (1813 & 1411) and my daughters Walther LG400 Alutec 10m match air rifle would be the complete opposite though. Although you might then use it in a joking manner, and refer to it as that naff old thing. The joys of two peoples separated by a common language!

Nothing wrong with LEE equipment. I used to own the LEE Classic Turret Press, made me lots-o-Ammo. I sold my LEE equipment and a few Guns so I can buy the Dillon, worth every penny, But I still kick meself in the arse for selling those Guns...............

Oh no don't get me wrong the Lee Turret press I have is perfectly OK, and the rounds work just fine. I was always very happy with the ammo that it loaded for me. Without it I would never have been able to shoot around a 150 rounds of .38spl a week back when we could own proper pistols (now we only have muzzle loaders unless you are an Olympic level target shooter). That 150 rounds of reloads were still cheaper than one box of factory Winchester Western. My target loads were real nice to shoot too. I still use it to download a few 7.62×51 NATO factory rounds to meet 1600 fps/1600 fpe to shoot on a range authorised for pistol shooting.

It seems like there are a lot of folks out there though that really look down on Lee reloading equipment. Gear snobbery all over the place though isn't there? I guess that buying Lee reloading kit is like buying an entry level camera, it get the job done perfectly well if you know what you are doing. Personally I always lusted after the big RCBS progressive press for the pistol ammunition, I guess that's like going for the 1Dx in the camera world. I really did not need it though, as the Lee auto-index press could turn out my weekly ammo needs in about 3 hours, instead of about an hour. I bet your arm gets tired cranking the lever up and down all the time.

As this is supposed to be a picture sharing forum I thought I better throw in a couple of pictures. Simple cam phone snap shots.

First up, my daughter Rosie posing with an AI AW at Bisley. This was her 15th Birthday weekend, and she had just spent the day acting as assistant Range Officer during the NRA Open Day. This is a day where members of the public can come and have a go at shooting. I had been coaching all day, shooting F-TR at 1000 yards. The MoP's got five shots each. One of the other coaches lent her the AI to have a play with after we had finished.

I moved from Lee to Dillon because of the ease of use, speed and quality. I had a Lee turret and could never quite fine tune it... and broke plastic parts too much.
Simple fact is that Dillon IS better, plus their customer service is the best in the industry. If I break something my rep replaces it no questions asked. I LOVE that!
You get what you pay for, simple as that.

As I've posted up a few pictures of my daughter shooting I thought I had better even things up a bit, dig out and show some of my son.
