Many years ago I had a trio of Sig Sauer P220ST, P226ST, and P229ST pistols. While they were great pistols, they were pretty heavy and ended up being safe-queens. Being ADD with firearms as well as camera gear, I ended up selling off the P226ST and P220ST, keeping only the P229ST as it has had some really nice custom work done and I can't imagine ever letting it go.

IMAGE: http://www.waynes-world.net/guns/Triplets.jpg

Fast forward 10 years to the introduction fo Sig Sauer's Legion Series pistols. Always a Sig fan, I gave it a good look but passed. Still had my P229ST as well as a "standard" P226 DA/SA, and didn't want to spend the money.

When they came out with the single action only (SAO) model, I gave it another look and in 2017 I bought a P226 Legion SAO. I really LOVE the P-series SAO guns. I had previously had an X-Five and a P220 SAO, so was pretty excited over the Legion SAO.

Short Story - Loved it. Great gun. Immediately started wishing Sig would make a P229 SAO, something they had never done. Then, last year Sig announced a P229 Legion SAO, AWESOME! Unfortunately, Sig has a history of announcing guns only to have a year or more pass before they ever get them to the market.

As 2018 continued, word was it really existed and would be available "soon"

Last October I stumbled across a great deal on a P220 Legion SAO, and decided it was an omen (or at least a means to rationalize the purchase) that the P229 SAO would be available soon and I should go for another hat-trick of P22X pistols, this time in Legion SAO livery.

Well, Monday I took delivery of my long-awaited P229 Legion SAO. Took it to the range for the first time today and it is all I had hoped for. Got home and pulled out my gear for a family portrait...

Great group, & nice light on it. I'm thinking that if you oiled the background wood, it would be a little darker? Which would make the Sig pop out more?

Background is actually some textured wallpaper on foam board

I received my Beretta APX Centurion and heading to the gun range for the first time. Naturally, I cleaned it and then took a few shots.
