Wheeler Co huh, happen to know Bruce Gray?

That I do. Bruce is a great guy and the owner of Gray Guns in Reedsport. Back in the day, he was still in Central Oregon working out of the shop beside his house.

Yup, I have attended a couple of his classes. Including the inaugural “Gun Camp” at his facility outside Spray a few years back. Have a sweet P229ST that he personally “blessed” and worked over. If I recall he was a Reserve Deputy for Wheeler Co, that’s why I was asking.

Cool! Back then, my father was the Sherriff of Wheeler County. :)

Assembled my first gun using a Polymer 80 lower. Had to buy new dremel bits, and after lots of waiting for parts and gnashing of teeth, I finally got her together last night. The slide took a very long time for me, and taking out the material for the guide rod took a long time too. The green laser sight should be here in a couple of days for that bottom rail. I may decide to replace the polymer guide rod with a stainless version, not sure yet. I am not sure how much this will get used, but would feel better with a replacement.

Out shooting trap with my son. He's still got a lot of work to do to get good at it, but he doesn't give up!

His first time stepping up to the 28ga (a Stevens 555). He liked it, but definitely noticed the recoil difference vs the .410

Yes it is nice to see kids learn sporting arms. He will enjoy this for his whole life.
last time out we used a 410 barreled Thompson Contender hand gun. Not much fun as the rate of hits is very minimal. :)

John
Just enjoying everyday

That is the older model of the Ruger M77 on a mannlicher stock.

Nice grips

Thank you. Those are VZ Grips. They started with 1911 style, and expanded to cover some revolvers.
