When I see scratches on stuff it gives it character, one day I saw that a guy (here) said something about that they ruin the shot. Not so.
Now, if a customer is not for it, that'd be the only time to not do it.

Range time with my Pops. I believe he's got a Parker Hale Enfield here, a 2 bander. It shoots a mini-ball, which is a rifled round with a hollow base for expansion, approx 54 cal, cast in the basement.
I've got an Enfield, as well. Very comfortable firearm and super accurate in my book. Back when I was competitive with it, Dad and I nearly ran a board of 16 hanging 2x2 inch electrical insulators at 50 yards, offhand. I got 8 and he got 7, which is hard to believe now that I'm writing it, but we were good and there are moments that life aligns and it is effortless. But that was 20 years ago and neither of us see as well, and don't get to practice together nor as often. Cheers,

That's pretty cool, actually!

I remember back in my 20's I could shoot center in a bullseye at 100 yards fairly consistently, with a 30-30, no scope, but, I can't even see a bullseye anymore at that distance!

Thank you, I had fun doing this, I got a new lens and it works very well.
My wife did ask me though, "Do you think anyone will know it's a gun?"...
