They are the Troy BattleMags. They work great except for one issue.

They come with an extended bottom plate that troy says is for shock absorption, I guess for if you are dropping them out of the gun to the ground in a reload. The bad part about that piece is that if you load a full mag into a gun with a closed bolt and smack the bottom to seat it, that piece absorbs all of that shock too and it doesn't seat. I smacked them pretty hard and they still didn't budge.

They come with the flat plate too and I have swapped all of mine out and they are fine now. Never any feeding issues. Swapping the plates out is less that a fun job in itself...

But, they have a better grip texture than a PMAG and don't have the huge swell at the base, making them easier to carry in a double pouch.

They are some kind of rosewood. I bought them on eBay from a guy in Bangkok.

I like the way they feel. I have a mid-size hand and the grips feel just fine.
