i'm already tempted by the 50 and 85 primes (FL's i don't really need the L's for)

but if they make a 135 f/2 OS, i'll go nuts. enough to sell my 200 (if IQ is good enough of course)

I saw this, i love the idea of a sigma 24 f1.4 and id certainly buy a 135 f2. How amazing, id scrap my 30 and go with SIgma 24, 85, 135 and maybe new 150 macro OS

Awesomeness lol

Put the Sigmalux in a 35mm package and I'd snap it up immediately for any price under $800. Any more than that and it's priced too close to the 35L. I've been flirting with trading my 24-105 in for a Zeiss 35/2, but the bokeh there leaves a lot to be desired. Though ANY bokeh leaves a lot to be desired after you've used one of the Sigma 1.4 primes!

How about a nice wide angle prime? Something between 16mm and 20mm

Seems like no one is willing to release one worth buying.

Well...there's the Samyang 14mm on one side of your range and the Zeiss 21mm on the other. But I guess there isn't much actually within it, now that I think of it. There's the Zeiss 18mm, but it's one of the least impressive lenses of the current Zeiss lineup. And, of course, none of these are AF (though how much AF do you really need on a 14mm lens?)

For the price CZ is asking, would it be too much to ask for AF?

What I want is something like a nifty-twenty

Sigma has a 20mm 1.8. The thread isn't very robust, but it looks like a fun lens to me...

if this became CR5, i will definitely buy the 35mm 1.4 & the 135mm F2, given that the 35mm is opticaly equal to the existing 30mm or 50mm prime.

how can we let Sigma know about this thread?

do they know how many 35mm 1.4 they can sell for the FF? not only Canon, Nikon, and Sony as well. not everyone can afford L, highend Nikkor, and Zeiss!

i don't know how Sigma will price the 135 if it came true, the 135L isn't that expensive to begine with. any price close to the 85mm 1.4 probably won't be able to compete with the L

Yeah, there is weird variation on the 135L pricing...I see it for 1400 bucks at some places, and then under 1000 at others (like my camera shop, for instance:D). It seems that if they are going to try to compete with another L, the 35 would be the place to go.

I think that the theoretical 135 would either need to have OS or be faster than f/2 in order to compete with the 135L. Either that or it'd need to be priced down near $500 or $600. As has been said upthread, the 135L is already a relatively cheap lens, and if Sigma's going to charge a similar price to their 85/1.4, there'd be little reason to buy the Sigma (except, I guess, the longer warranty).

But man... a 135 f/1.8 OS for less than $1k? Amazing.

What if sigma crammed out a 135mm f/1.4? and priced it at $1200
