I just got back from a trip to AZ where I took a bunch of photos of rock art, but mainly just head on. I never thought about making a landscape out of it. Its some really neat stuff. Some of it does tell a story. Took a picture of one where they were killing a bear, and another was supposed to be a breech birth scene. http://www.jdaycockphotography.com
