I use dual speedlites with kacey dish and am thinking of dumping it for AB400 or AB800 with VML. The kacey bracket with dual speedlites and two pixel packs is more cumbersome and heavy than just AB400. And I hate the dropping of the dish having paid so much money. As VML won't be haging at the top of the light stand I think the setup will be better for mobile shoots. Only thing that I can think of that I will miss is being able to use HSS.

BTW - Here are some shots using kacey dish with dual speedlites. Used my newly acquired A5017 rolling stand and it was so much easier to work this way. I just rolled it along.

If Bees and a VML give you what you need then it seems like a wise decision. Just make sure it's not something you'll regret. Perhaps you want to keep one Speedlight just for the heck of it.

I no longer have a large Speedlight kit but I do still like to have the ability to go out with an ultra compact kit, using one Speedlight, a Softlighter and Pixel battery pack.

Robert, I already have the Bees and my AB adapter to use Kacey dish with Bees should be here on Monday. I might still keep the speedlites as 5d doesnt give much HyperSync benefit. AB400 with medium softbox or some cheapy octa will be good for quick shots on the go.

HSS is OVERRATED! Go for the AB's and VML.....
If you really think about it, setting up two hot shoe flashes with the pixel battery packs takes much longer than a single studio strobe and vagabond. And the studio strobes are more stable and durable than hot shoe flashes are on any day.....

Mark I agree, I will probably be using my ND filter then to get to wider apertures. I don't like f8-f11 for these kind of shots.
