Hopefully when I visit I will be unable to walk at least part of the time.

I guess I could get an RV, do a drive-about.

Sam, road is the best way to see the real Australia - just be prepared for some long days behind the wheel. It also depends on what you like to see. I found driving in the States easy and I'm an old fart so you should be fine here - you guys just drive a lot faster than us! Drive past a speed trap here at 80mph and you won't just sail on past without getting a second glance from the trooper like you do in the U.S, you'll be paying a hefty fine!

Winter up here in the northern part is best because it is the dry season, you don't want to be up the top end driving around during the wet. I think the opposite is true down south, check with some of those Mexicans and Cockroaches below the border for that advice. Just don't mention the football though mate, they are running away again with their tails between their legs after we flogged 'em in game 1 of this years State of Origin hahaha

Also, Vegemite, yep, we all eat it, it is a national treasure, the only downside is some clown sold the company to you guys!! Our own Aussie favourite entrepreneur Dick Smith had one called AussieMite and he has made a bid to Kraft to buy back the Vegemite brand name. He’s the same Dick Smith who took on the foreign owned Red Heads match company with his own brand called Dick Heads hahaha He's a national treasure too, at least he tries.

Now now. No need to be silly Rai. :p

Kangaroo (when cooked properly) is really nice! You just have to make sure you don't overcook it. I dunno about all these sausages and things they're making though, I could imagine them being pretty gross.

Yeh, it's a very lean animal. I don't know if I could eat it as often as beed though. And unfortunately it's nowhere near as versitile.

Medium rare is overdone for me. Blue, or at the most, rare, is the way to go!

Sam, Australia is a pretty big place to see on a holiday.
I don't think most who live here get to see all of it in a life time.

yup, still to visit WA and NT myself.

Yes, a bit like the US in that regard.

So, is Spring good? Or too wet......

By the way, I think our closest equivalent of vegemite is either SPAM or scrapple.

i kinda.. like SPAM.
