Looking at it now I should have taken out some of the highlights to make the the barrel a bit better to look at. everything costs more or takes longer than you expect

Just an impromptu wander around a park in Bendigo after work.  Then pulled out the Sigma 150 for some comparison. Think this was probably the first time I'd shot ducks with it too  Only had the 150 on the camera when I saw a few of these fellas. Spent a long time on my haunches hoping they would get used to me being around them so that I could fill the frame sufficiently. Needed the 55-250. A 300 wouldn't have gone astray actually. Knees were very stiff by the time I tried to walk away   Impressions with the efs are good so far. It doesn't seem to handle flare all that well (no hood on it). Nice and sharp at f/8 at the long end. Problem with that is that I have spoiled myself with the 150 f/2.8 and 28-75 f/2.8 of late and having to shoot that slow meant a lot of time at ISO 1600 in the cloudy conditions. All in good fun
