We have a growing number of *Fan clubs revolving around specific bodies.
I thought I'd make a collection of them, so we can find them and keep them organized (merge in new ones etc)

The Master list is here

* WARNING: By posting in this or any of the linked threads you are wholly admitting in no uncertain terms that you are a snot nosed, milk drinking, knee biting, curtain climbing unabashed Canon Fanboy who's opinions must be taken with several large grains of kosher salt.

The T2i unite thread has now reached 10,000 posts. This is a monumental occasion, and I consider it an honor to be requested to post the first images for the start of the new split thread. I myself have progressed quite a long way in less than a year, and I owe the majority of that growth and progression to this thread and the fantastic users that inhabit it. Here's to the next 10,000 posts!

Here are 2:

Congrats Wolfy! Your images certainly are an ornament to this new 'home' for us!

Since these are mostly image-sharing threads, it was only appropriate (as suggested by rpolitsr) to have the thread start with new images! I apologize but I took the liberty of writing to the three top posters of the thread (excluding Rivest who has moved to bigger cameras :) and myself for obvious reasons) to post an image knowing that the hour was nearing. So, here's to another 10.000 posts and lots of new images with this fantastic camera!

Also, be sure to subscribe to this new thread or you won't be notified of new posts (I usually read that way). I have added the link to my sig just in case.

So, cheers to our new home -= T2i Users Unite (2) =- !!!

Best regards,
Rafa.

Hello all, new to the forums and looking for a bit of advice. I've been thinking about taking the plunge into the SLR world and have been looking at the T2i. I've been told that now is a good time to go for the T2i since the T3i is out - I love the swivel LCD on the T3i but I figure that I can do without it - so I pretty much just need a little advice from the pros regarding prices before I start throwing my money around. Is the T2i with a 18-135 lens kit for about $750 (or the 18-55mm for about $550) a reasonable price? Or would you recommend looking around for a better deal?

Thanks in advance. :)

I agree with you Rivest, Rafa has been instrumental in what this thread has become. He's certainly deserving of all the praise! I honestly think it should've been one of his images that kicked off the sequel. I have a feeling that when Rafa leaves us for bigger cameras, there might even be followers! Of course, we're still glad you come back and visit us Riv!

Welcome, I'm by far no expert here..but I would go with the $550 deal with the 18-55 kit lens. Just my 2 cents.

I don't know much about the 18-135, but by all accounts, the 18-55 is an excellent lens, and will make a great starter lens!

Thank you both for your input! Still undecided, but I might go with the 18-55 and save a couple of bills.

I would suggest that you go with the 18-55 and put those extra bills on a canon efs 55-250. Then you'll have one heck of a great starting line up.

Wow. I wake up and find we've moved to a brand new home? Glad to see the welcome mat is out and in place though.

Mr arQ, WELCOME!! I have the T2i with both the 18-55 IS and the Nifty Two Fifty (55-250 IS), and while I know I will be wanting and needing something with more range eventually, this combo is serving me very well.

Guess I need to get out and shoot today; provided there's something to shoot. The walls here in our new home need some decorating.

:) Anne
