I'm stuck at home, waiting for a delivery (wrist strap), and I'm bored. So I went out on the catwalk and shot these. Apologies to those who are sick to death of ducks.

Speaking of deliveries, apparently my complaint last week did not fall on deaf ears. The problem now is the company that didn't require a signature and would leave a package on the doorstep, is now making us sign for our packages........ on a piece of paper no less. So much for modern technology.

So, I'm stuck today, and tomorrow too. Oh well.

i wish i had a Duck i could take pictures of.

Seeing all these flower shots is reminding me that spring is coming. Here's one I took the weekend before last.

Really nice DOF on this one Pete

Thanks Annie. I rarely shoot for DOF. I like the out of focus background for the most part.

One thing that I have learned while using my nifty 250 is where the sweet spot is for my lens. F/9 with the exposure set around 1/250/320.

I love the reflection of the lens on the surface.

Hi, I'm still a relative newbie to the T2i, but have been having a lot of fun with it in the two months I've owned it. Enjoying coming to this board; I'm learning quite a bit. Seeing some really nice bird photos, I thought I would post one I took over the weekend:

WELCOME!!

You have some nice shots on your flickr page. I love the Panda.

As for that bird, try not to cut off beaks, legs, feet, etc. Sometimes we can't help it, but it's always best to try.

You've got a great camera, and I think we're going to be seeing some very nice photos from you.

Anne, make sure you let us know how you like the strap. I have been thinking about getting one since the neck strap only get in the way when it is never used. Not to mention the strap that came with the T2i was rough and stiff. I had to switch it out for my XTI strap that was much softer.

The wrist strap just arrived.

It seems sturdy enough. In fact, I carefully picked up the camera with 100-400L IS attached (very carefully, and in addition to my hand being under it, it was over the bed), and it seems to hold. Problem is, I don't trust quick releases with any camera, so I will still continue to hold the camera in my hand as I've always done. There's a little plastic doohickey slidey thing (being very technical), and that's to adjust the strap so it's comfortable on any size wrist.

The possible down side: The strap itself is wide and thick, which in itself is not a bad thing. Problem for me is I live in Florida, and I suspect it's going to be very hot on the wrist.

One issue, that a reviewer had mentioned on amazon is it's very difficult to get the loop part of the strap through the camera eyelet. You really need something flat to help ease it through, but I managed, and it didn't take very long.

Personally, I tend to think that I'm going to be happier with the knockoff strap that's due here tomorrow, but time will tell.

Annie, I agree!!! I have always said it, people in this web 'realms' tend to be so over protective of their privacy and anonymity that it is hard to portray them as real people. I, who are mostly straightforward about everything, still have lots of 'hidden sides' in here that will probably come to light in FB. I spent good part of the afternoon chatting with Vectoria and discovering someone that, from this posts, I would have never have imagined existed, fantastic girl.

I look forward to seeing and reading much from you guys there.

For what is worth, I have:
- Annie
- Rivest
- Marubozo
- Wolfy
- PeaJunk
- Ofwiah
added today plus
- Mookalafalas
- LuFaiNe

Rafa.

I also have most of them if not all and thanks Rafa it was awesome talking you:)
