Vectoria, I like the image of your dog 'almost' sleeping... he contrasts nicely against the bed cover. The other picture is really funny, it made me yawn! :) About your indoor pictures, you are always asking about lenses, grips, etc., have you thought about adding a flash to your gear? I believe that for pictures of moving subjects indoors (which includes nephews, dogs, and the likes), a flash you can bounce off the ceiling is a really nice addition. You have lots of choices, the Canon 270EX II, the 320EX (comming soon), or the more expensive brothers, the 430EX II. You also have the off-brand ones like the Yongnuo. That could help a lot with blurry pictures, have you given that a thought or are you an anti-flash photographer (of which there are many! nothing wrong with that).

Ofwiah, I, on the other hand, am very happy with a ultra compact SDHC card reader much like this one: http://www.amazon.com …F8&qid=1300235823&sr=8-20 (external link)

Rafa.

I didn't use a flash at all for them pictures. I have never really thought about buying a flash but that is something to think about now.

Rafa and Annie, thanks. I will look into the memory card reader. Sometimes I download pictures from the camera 6 or 7 times in a day. I will check out Best Buy to see if they have one. What I don't want to do is to ruin the camera in anyway shape or form.

Thanks for the welcome Vectoria.

Don't think about it too much. Buying camera equipment never ends. As soon as you get a flash, you will want X,Y, Z, etc. The good part is that it gives you way more flexibility to shoot under difficult lighting situations.

And couple pages back, saw some chatter about Facebook.. I'm there too.. here is me http://www.facebook.com/jleffelman (external link)

I freaking love JONES SODA! I hadn't found any place that sold it down in LA in almost a year when the 7-11 up the street from me randomly started stocking it again this week. So I took a quick photo too. Yours is much better.

i bought my flash just weeks after i had my camera. my whole family hated the on board flash and it's hard to take picture of my toddler with the kit lens indoors..its a big help and even now that i have the 50mm 1.4 i still mount it and the only time i'll leave it is when i'm out malling and it gets too heavy on my bag..:)

You wouldn't catch me dead without a flash on my bag! :) I try to avoid using it, and if I use it its always omni-diffused and reflected, but I always have it. A good bounced flash will allow 1/150th and still good ambiance light at f5.6.

I like having the option.
Rafa.

ofwiah- since you run XP, you might want to click on the "safely remove device" icon down by your clock, click "stop" for the device in question, then remove the camera. This just unmounts the drive. It's just a precaution to avoid file corruption.

If you don't do it, about 99% of the time you will have zero issues, it's the 1% that could corrupt a file hierarchy. (I have never seen a file corrupt, only the file system, and it gets repaired as soon as you plug it back in)

This applies to any USB storage device like a flash drive, card reader or a camera using a SD card. Your camera itself can never be harmed.

I let my itchy finger pull the trigger on the 20mm Prime last week.

Initially I thought it would make the camera front heavy but it's pretty well balanced on the T2i. Of the few lenses I have it definitely has the smoothest focusing.

The footage I shot with it last weekend came out lookin' really sharp and hopefully we'll have some good weather this weekend too so I can get some outdoor stills with it.

Gripped 6D and T2i, 20mm 2.8, 50mm 1.4, 100mm 1.4, 10-22 3.5-4.5, Jag35 D-Focus v3, Jag35 7" External Monitor, Halo Rig Mini, CAME Stedicam, Rode VideoMic, a nice head and Annie's old legs ;)

Nice! I'd love to play with one of those for a while:)

LuFaiNe, I'd love to know how those f2.8 Primes compare to the 2.8 zooms... do you believe there is a sharpness advantage? a distortion advantage? a CA one? Perhaps they resist flare better?

At any rate, it sounds like a nice lens to have! Looking forward to links to your footage.

Rafa.
