Here's another image from last weekends motorsport camping trip I'm pleased with:

The above is actually a HDR composite of these three:

I should've adjusted the composition to give more separation to the wall and the trees - never mind, I'll know for next time.

Perfect execution and a cool subject. I probably would have been drawn to it as well.

WHOA! Nice captures. If it weren't for the red eyes I'd say "man he is really old."

I really enjoyed this version Nate and think it's already fun viewing but I ook forward to seeing what you do to it to make it better. What exactly do you think needs to be done to it?

The main thing is just more shot variety, I really struggled to differentiate shots and time of day within the stadium. I want a bit more establishing shots around the stadium and also some shots of the stadium full and or filling up. Basically I want to take it from 1:30 short piece to a 3-4 minute piece with out having it become redundant and lose interest.

Yea that's exactly what I meant Peter. I read a photography tips and tricks magazine and they suggested using whatever lines are in the frame to draw the viewer into the picture. So I think your picture is a good example.

Thanks luFaine.

Well I couldn't ignore all the 5 star reviews and the threads here I found discussing the greatness of the regular 100mm macro, so while I would like the L version, not at a 75% increase in price. Non-L version is on order.

yeah ... they're both great. you'll have a lot of fun ... I really love macro lenses :)

Best I can tell, tilt shift seems to work best when the picture is taken from above the subject, all of the ones that I've tried have not turned out at all....,but the ones that are taken from above seem to work...I dunno. LOL

I agree getting a shot above the subject works best IMO. Maybe I will try to take a shot upward with a good subject, I don't know if that will turn out okey I never tried it before.
