Ofwiah man those dogs shot are really great and I notice a figurine frog that one looks real to me lol.
Bobobird - Again wonderful shots, your photos are really inspiring.

Peter, thank you. Shooting the dog was a stretch for my nifty 250. That dog was a 300 feet or more away. Where did you notice the frog. I must ahave missed something.

For some reason and I don't know diddly about tilt shift, the ones with buildings/ cars grab me better than ones with just people. Now if you had one of soldiers and they appeared to be toy soldiers well that might work. (?)
John

John I believe I don't shoot the right pictures to make a good tiltshift photo

Over the weekend, took in the NY Auto Show. Unfortunately, lots of people and not allowed the tripod. So.. they're ok. Not like someone I know who snagged Press Pass tickets! Lucky! Anyhoo... here's a couple of my faves...

I used the content aware healing tool in Photoshop for the 1st time! I took out the branch on the left side of the pic. I think it turned out pretty good.

Before

where is this content healing on photoshop at? Which Photoshop do you have? I have CS4

@ofwiah Yeah, generally the way you are supposed to use miniature-style tilt shift is generally from a higher perspective than the subject you are shooting, with the intent to get a horizontal focal range, not spot.

some examples:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/natums/tags/tiltshift/ (external link)

You see how generally they are all at a downward perspective, this is also because when people think miniatures, they generally are looking down at it.

Sweet Sixteen?! Que paso con la QuinceaƱera? Haha just kidding.

Nice shots. At first I thought the white background wasn't enough contrast against a light pink dress but it gives it a nice dreamy look so I dig your choice. Your cuƱada should be very happy with these.

So Lightroom is pretty useful for touch ups. I was thinking about trying this software out.

http://www.portraitprofessional.com/ (external link)

Anyone have any experience with it?

Edit: the software is less the $40.00 I might jus buy it this Thursday.

Lol I thought it was a 15th birthday which would fall under our tradition. But no I was wrong it's a sweet 16 party . I do not know what the differences are but I'm sure they will do everything that is done in a quinceanera. I'll take a look at they software also. Gracias Lu.

Hello! Obviously I'm new to the forums. I've only had my T2i since December, so I'm still learning more about it each day. Right now I only have the regular 18-55mm lens and then a slight telephoto EF lens that I bought because it will also work with my Canon film SLR. It will quickly be obvious to everyone that I love concert photography, but I'm hoping to expand beyond that.

There's a camera show in October, so I'm hoping to get a decent wide angle lens there for my concert photography (USM would be nice...but I'll probably be getting a more decently-priced used one).

Anyways, here's a few photos of mine:

Welcome! I don't think we have anyone who's been showing concert photography. It'll be interesting to hear your impressions on best settings for the low light, etc.

Nice shots, BTW!

Content aware is also in Elements 9 when you click on the spot healing brush it shows up in the menu bar. It is really a very easy tool to use. Swipe over what you want gone and presto it vanishes
