I received my new lens today. I'd seen so many good things about the Tamron 70-300 VC that I decided to take the plunge on it. So far I'm very pleased with it. The focus is fast and accurate. I was really stunned with the delivery from Amazon. I ordered on Friday and selected the free shipping. I received notice that it shipped on Saturday and it arrived on Tuesday. Not bad for free shipping!

I love the water droplet photos. Well done. the reflections look great. These type of photos are something I would like to try this spring............... if it ever stops raining.

Thank you so much Carmen. But don't forget, rain will just give you more drops to choose from, so wait for a break in the action and go!!

What an eventful evening. I had to rush out of the house like a bat out of hell as soon as my wife got home from work and drive 20 miles in less than 15 minutes to get into position for this severe storm. It was worth it.

If you aren't into weather these may not be very interesting, but this was a significant storm that was dropping golf ball sized hail just a few miles away and it had a pretty nice rotating wall cloud (the funny cloud I was photographing) which is where tornadoes form. No tornado touched down while I was on it, but it did go on to trigger a tornado warning the next county over so I just missed it. :(
