Vectoria,

Just a couple of constructive critisims here on your most recent photos. I checked the exif data and noticed a couple of things that you might want to try with your new lens. I see you had the ISO at 800. That should be a thing of the past with the 70-200 f2.8L. You should have no trouble at all at either 100 or 200 ISO which will make for a cleaner photo. Open up the aperature a bit to let more light in and you will get a faster shutter speed which will elininate the blur. Also, did you have the image stabilizer turned on?

What an eventful evening. I had to rush out of the house like a bat out of hell as soon as my wife got home from work and drive 20 miles in less than 15 minutes to get into position for this severe storm. It was worth it.

If you aren't into weather these may not be very interesting, but this was a significant storm that was dropping golf ball sized hail just a few miles away and it had a pretty nice rotating wall cloud (the funny cloud I was photographing) which is where tornadoes form. No tornado touched down while I was on it, but it did go on to trigger a tornado warning the next county over so I just missed it. :(

Constant 2.8 is great but it is a challenge getting a exact focus. I have great result using a zoom feature through a live view. Still difficult getting a pic of flying bird. Hope to see more soon.

It was trying like heck, but couldn't make it to the ground. Couldn't have asked for a more photogenic storm though. Usually these things are all wrapped in rain and you can't see anything, but this one was just beautiful.

Mitch, Your black and white shots are very interesting. I especially like the one that shows the car in the rain

+1 on those, Mitch.
And Maru, really awesome weather shots! That's a terrific series.

Just took this one this morning of my daughter before school.

Post some ducks :D

I tried to find some. There are more pelicans around here than ducks right now though I did manage to find some anyway.
