I love the pictures I've seen posted so far. Gives me some motivation to go out and shoot as much as possible. I haven't uploaded many pics, but I'll see if I can find some that I like. Little intro to me, I just recently got into photography; picked up the T2i after much research and deliberation and I'm very satisfied with my decision. I was pretty lost in the beginning, but after picking up a handy Intro to Digital Photography book, I think I'm making some good progress. I look forward to contributing to this forum, and this thread in particular, as well as learning as much as possible from everyone here. It's refreshing to see how welcoming and nice people are here. -Rob Hi Rob. It's nice to meet you. WELCOME!! You're going to love the camera. And not to worry; you can't help but learn from the helpful and caring people here on this forum. Any questions; just ask. Someone will know the answer. kawwauser wrote in post #12299820 cheers for the replys, carol these were taken from a public hide on a nature reserve,im lucky to have many reserves with hides near to me (tayside scotland) most are free to enter female mallard with one of her youngsters, she hatched 10 but this number went down rapidly, seems cute doesn,t matter in the animal world especially when it comes down to an easy meal Nice. You just have to love those little fuzz balls. I feel so bad every time I look at mama still sitting on that nest. I wonder when she's going to realize that her eggs are long gone. It's too sad.

I'm not going anywhere though. I'm just glad to be able to share images with others, whether it's here or elsewhere. Wow, that looks incredibly similar to my Orion shots. Of course that probably makes sense considering we're using the same camera. Nicely done. Love that train shot as well.

What focal length was the one you posted at? I've had mixed results with my lenses and I've tried them all. Some just don't render stars very well at all wide open and everything looks like an egg.
