Wanted something really wide, so I purchased this Opteka 6.5mm fisheye, it was between this and 12-24 Tokina, price is only $40 difference. Still not sure which one I want but I got two weeks to return it so I will just play around with this one for now.

Why is there vig? I have the Rokinon 8mm(which I think is the same as the Opteka) and there is no vig at all on my T2i.

Samyang, Rokinon, Bower, Vivitar, etc. They're all made by Samyang.
The 8mm version has no vignetting with either the Canon t2i or Nikon D300.
f8 & approx 10ft focus settings - it becomes almost a P&S lens HOWEVER be sure you keep the lens clean or the stuff on the lens face will show up in your pix - that's how deep the depth of field is.

those pics look pretty good... you can see the focus point is the rider in the first and pretty good bokeh in the second...


not knowing how long you have been in dslr... could it be the settings? learning curve?
no exif data so cant help ya there...

what setting where you shooting in?


you say bad in low light.. welcome to the club.. im now hurting in this area... my son had a show at his school.. i used my flash and found that the flash made it worse... took the flash off and used their local light.. while not great pics.. i got good useable ones @ iso 1600

One of the worst parts of the low light photography I want to do is that I cannot use a flash at all. It's far too distracting and interfering. Makes it even tougher...

Digitaltuned yes I am getting the 11-16mm later this year I talked about it with the other half she had no prob with it as long as I buy it later this year, I just got the 70-200mm about a month ago and loving it. Enjoy and post some pics with I'd to see and here how do like the lens. Thanks.

looks great.. i was in the same situation with the canon 10-22 and the tokina 11-16
i was in a tug of war for a month until i finally got the tokina.. good luck but the pic looks awesome

Hi Vectoria Absolutely not a dumb question. Anyway I have my shutter speed to 1/30 iso 100 manual auto focus center point focus. I basically just focus on the subject car and follow it I was amazed. The video tutorial was really good. In no time you will be able to do it. Good luck this weekend. Watch the video and thanks for providing the link I could not figure out for bobobird this morning.
