Some of you will remember yesterday's Soft Shell Turtle photo I'm sure. Well, looks like we won't have babies, thanks to this little thief. I was fascinated and watched him for a solid hour, as he stole egg after egg from a deep hole in the ground. BTW, I wasn't sure if she (the turtle) had come up on land to lay eggs, or to get some sun. Guess we know now.

BTW, he's not at all afraid of me. I walked almost up to him as he was rooting around in that hole, and he could care less. Nature is sometimes not always pretty, but it sure is fascinating

Thank you all for the nice comments! Just as Annie pointed out, I am in fact a male! The picture is of my cousin. Haha thanks for starting off my day with a laugh! Here is one more that I like.

These berries grow on our palm trees. I'm not sure if they're what form coconuts, or what, but I love the bright red color.

Hello :)
great post again today, As you can see this is nothing special but I just had to post something myself, England has yet to turn green (a few buds showing now) and the sunshine needs to be a little warmer before I start to venture out and about with my camera Lol.
( this shot is heavily cropped)

Hello all... I'm new here, so don't be too harsh.

Just thought I'd throw up a few HDR's that friends of mine seem to like.

Some are old, some are new... I have refined my technique and I think they are becoming more acceptable to look at.

I apologize in advance if I have broken some kind of rule... I read the image posting rules, and don't think I broke any.

Any feedback is appreciated.

EDIT: Edited the photo order to show chronology... from my very first HDR to my most recent.

Dan, if that's nothing much, I can't wait to see the shots when you have something you consider something much. GORGEOUS!!

Hi Zolth, WELCOME. I believe I'm very safe in saying that nobody here will ever be harsh with anyone. It's the true beauty of this forum.

Your shots are wonderful, and I'm looking forward to seeing lots more.

The basic rules for posting are you can use two if you're uploading directly from your computer, and I believe it's eight if you're embedding from a photo storage site such as flickr, smugmug, etc. But not to worry. The system won't let you do more than you should, at least on a direct upload.

One more of the Muscovy nest. Why you ask? Because where there were four before, there are now five. You can't see the fifth one here, because it's covered with downy fuzz, but it's there.

You can plainly see that the fuzz has been moved since this morning.

Needless to say, I am fascinated.

Nice. I love interesting doorways. One suggestion though (personal preference), if at all possible, try to get the entire doorway in. I feel like something is missing here from the bottom. I know that's not always possible (or even necessary), but in this case I think I'd like to see it all.

That's actually how I took it, but there was some junk on the floor that I couldn't figure out how to remove, the background wasn't really consistent enough to get good results with cloning. I'm sure there's a way but I know next to nothing about post processing. Anyway I felt like the junk ruined the picture, so I cropped it out.

Gotcha. I'm not all that versed in post processing myself, so I understand completely.
